Click, Connect, Serve: Anao Steps Up Digital Governance
In support of the continuing digital transformation of local government services, the Municipality of Anao conducted the Training on Electronic Local Government Unit (eLGU) System for LGUs from September 21 to 25, 2026, bringing together key municipal personnel involved in frontline services and information systems.
The five-day training aimed to strengthen the capacity of the municipal government in utilizing the eLGU System as a platform for improving the accessibility, efficiency, and delivery of government services through digital solutions.
Leading the Municipality of Anao was Municipal Mayor Hon. Gian Pierre O. De Dios, together with LGOO VI Henrielle Justeene A. Tuliao, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer. Participants included personnel from the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), Local Civil Registrar’s Office, Municipal Treasurer’s Office, and the municipality’s IT/System Administrators, whose respective functions are vital to the successful implementation and sustainability of the system.
The DILG Tarlac Provincial Office, represented by LGOO II Dione Carlo C. Ganiban, joined the activity as part of the Department’s continuing efforts to support LGUs in strengthening institutional capacities and promoting responsive, technology-enabled local governance.
Meanwhile, Mr. Wilson W. Censon and Mr. Michael B. Palad of DICT Tarlac provided technical assistance and guidance throughout the training, helping the participants become familiar with the features, processes, and operational requirements of the eLGU System.
Through the activity, the Municipality of Anao continues to strengthen its readiness for digital governance by equipping its personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to maximize electronic platforms in delivering faster, more convenient, and citizen-centered public services.
The initiative underscores the collaborative efforts of the Municipality of Anao, DILG Tarlac, and DICT Tarlac toward advancing digitalization at the local level and building a more efficient, accessible, and responsive government for the people of Anao.
